jdbrown Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 » » CRE LE OO ...I believe this is Oct 99 but I dont know the Factory?? » » Never heard of CRE. Could it be CLE? That is Laguitos. I had not either. On the other hand I do know LE00 would be Oct 99. Shrink, do you think a party lons would have been manufactured at the EL Laguito factory?? This box code info was sent in an email and they could have typed it incorrectly!
pistol Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 » » Bassman..So if I happen to somehow find a 00 Cab that would be the worst » of » » the best » » My 00s so far have not had any construction issues. Haven't smoked a lot » of them, but the ones smoked draw well. They just don't have the flavor » intensity of the other years. Still like them better than the DBs. I have two cabs of 01's and they are smoking great...
jdbrown Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 Good to hear as I just bought a 01 Cab. Will wait a few weeks to sample.
shrink Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 Fortunately, Partagas lonsdales are kind of like BJ's. Even when they're bad... they're still pretty good.

Moglman Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 » My primary concern about a 2000 cab would be construction, not flavor. My 2000 cab are indeed tent pegs, which, while still tasty, this negatively affects flavor. Dryboxing provides minimal benefit. My other cab is either 2001 or 2002 and they are perfect. The vendor of the 2000s offered me a 10% discount on my next order for sending me the plugged cigars after I specifically asked them to be checked in advance. Thanks, but no thanks.
