Alan if i had extra $$$ to spend it would be Cohiba Exquisitos or Cohiba Panetelas .

Smoked them each a while back and they were excellant wish i had a box of each.

Cohiba Panatelas are awsum....I smoke them in the morning on the way to work...very tasty. I haven't had a Monty Joyita in a while but have some on order...they used to be excellent...hopefully they still are. I also have some Hoyo's that are good.

For something cheap and good.

I like the Por Larranga Panatella. Great tasting cigar for around $70.00 a box.

most people don't like them, but i did a review of the vegueros seoanes from '99 and i love these cigars.

I find the Monte Joyita's and Cohiba Panatela's too inconsistent in construction and flavour for my liking. When great they are very good but "great" has been a stretch of late (past two years).

I smoke a lot of Panatela's. My preference is:

Por Larranaga Panatela (but underfilling is a real problem in these machine mades).

La Gloria Cubana Medaille d'Or No 4 (very rich)

Hoyo de Monterrey Le Hoyo Du Maire. (consistently excellent).

Recently bought some Por Larrangas and some Rafael Gonzales extras. Both are great value for money. My first smokes were the monte joyita, erdm demi tasse and hdm du maire which i ended up buying a box of. They are all great smokes and suit me due to time constraints (aka kids!)

I really like the Cohiba Panatellas but for over $180, it is too mech for a cigar the size of a cigarette. Its bout 5-10 minute smoke for me.

Another fav is HDM Du Gourmet, LGC Med D # 1,3,4,

F***! 5 to 10 min smoke! Those Laguito#3's tend to last me 30+ mins on average, any shorter and they tend to overheat and loose their deliciousness...

Yes Alan I have been a huge fan of them for some time now.

Not everything you hear about them is bullshit , even though they can leave a bad taste in the mouth if you persist with them they can produce an amusing finish.
