I'm a huge fan of larger sized cigars, even though I don't get to smoke them as often as I'd like because of time constraints. I've never tried the Saint Luis Rey Double Coronas before. How are these? Are they any good at the moment or rather something I need to lay down for 5 years? ;-)

Which other Double Corona and Churchill sized cigars would you recommend to smoke right now? I know CA just gave Cohiba Esplendidos a huge score in the latest issue.

Very good cigars, unless you can find them from 2001. Then you have one of the best cigars in the world.

Agreed.

I find the Bolivar Corona Gigantes to be amongst the better younger cigars.

Another fine choice. I especially like those from 2003 & 06.

Smoked one last night from 06 and these are sweet as candy drank Rum and Coke with it.

I have a box of SLRs from Nov'05. I have only had one and it was a great smoke. I think though that these cigars need to rest for a while. I don't plan on smoking one for another year. But, the aroma when opening up the box is intoxicating: notes of milk chocoloate and toffee. I don't think you can go wrong with these.:-)

I had not tried before yesterday. Kid's were gone for two days..thank god and had some pool time to myself. Bought a couple singles from Rob. Needless to say I immediately came inside and ordered a cab from the Czar! I have time constraints myself but was wanting some DC'S for down time. After checking with other's I decided this was a buy!! They definitely have the substance for the long term investment. More so than any other since the Cohiba DC.

I'd have to third the Bolivar CG - '03s have been excellent. You may also consider

giving the LGC Tainos a try.
