FOH Best Cigar of 2006 Production

Following on from another thread, Cigar Aficionado rated the BRC as the best cigar of 2006.

What was your best cigar of 2006 Production. If you have a month code also state it.

Give it some thought and then we can tally the results.

Gonna go out on a limb here and this is a real tough choice, but I feel the PSDC3 POS/MAR06 is just great overall. There are quite a few others that are also really top notch including the BRC. But the smaller ring is just what the doctor ordered.

I think the BRC(POS MAR06) was hands down the best for me in 06.

However, I just smoked an 06 Monte #2 that reminded me how friggin great they can be.

I caught the dragon I had been chasing since the first one I smoked.

I can't narrow it down to one as I have had a 'dud' example or two or three of everything in the last year. These are my top three;

1) - Partagas SDC #1

2) - Upmann Connie #1

3) - Vegas Robaina Unicos

Honourable mention) - HDM le Hoyo de Prince

Here, here. The Montecristo No.2's have been anything short of fantastic! This is what I remember them to be. I will check my box code(s) and report back later; I have been stock piling these beauties... :-D (I owe it all to Lisa for her fantastic sales when Rob is away... ) Thanks Lisa, you're the best...

I haven't personally broken a box of 2006 production yet....but out of the singles I have sampled:

1. Partagas 898

2. SCdH Oficios

3. Sancho Non-Plus

4. Siglo II

Hands down for me Cohiba Piramide EL ' (OCT). Followed by RyJ SC (ABR) and Partagas D.No 3 EL (ABR).

For me it would have to be the Partagas serie D no. 4 (several boxes from differring months). The best year that I can recall for this great robusto.

These were hands down the best cigars of the year for me.

Technically, the Gold Medals that I have are from DIC 06 so I have to say...

I am surprised no one has mentioned the RyJ Short Churchill. This has been an amazingly wonderful, tasty, excellent cigar for me.....:-P

I had a BRC last month that was just incredible. mind blowing taste and well balanced to boot! I think it was the best I have ever had in any stick..I believe it was POS 06

Hadn't smoked too many RASS over the last couple of years but bought a box of PSD4's, BRC's and RASS and smoked through most all of them. The one I would buy again immediately is the RASS. Personal taste maybe but these were so good.

I have the May '06 BRC's which are good, but I 'm not wowed by them. For me, the best '06's I've had are a tossup between the March '06 RASS and the Jan. '06 Upmann Mag 46. That's a tough one because they are both awesome. I think I'd have to give the edge to the Mag 46. I just love that friggin smoke.

Hey Rob. Let's make this interesting. Since you've reviewed so many, let's see if we can guess your favorite cigar of 2006. I'll start it off. I'd guess the Cohiba Pirimide Edicion Limitada.
