RASS?

I am SHOCKED, OUTRAGED & OFFENDED that anyone could ever say this about a RASS!

j/k

Many people do not appreciate the RASS, a year ago, I would have tended to agree with you, BUT I picked up a few boxes of 5 year old RASS, and all I personally can say is that TIME in the humidor changes the RASS into a spectular smoking masterpiece, that until you smoke an aged RASS, you'll never know what you're missing. Personally, I have picked up several more boxes simply to aged because they are that friggen good!

» Great cigar, but they need some time to shine

there is an ongoing debate about this at other boards. some despise them when they are young, but others really like them. they are not spot on when young, but nowhere near intolerable. i find that the majority of my boxes do go into a lulling sick period and should best be put back for 6mos -1year when that happens. but before then is a wholly different and good smoke.

I like RASS. I have had good examples of both young and aged. It is a bargain of good smoke for the money. They wake up a lot quicker than the CoRo and cost a bunch less. I am sorry to hear they are in short supply as I smoke as many of these as any robusto.:-(

Ramon Allones Specially Selected were one of the first Cuban cigars that helped me understand why Cuban cigars are considered the best in the world. I have been told that they are fantastic when well aged. Because I love smoking them so much I may never find out how true that is.

It seems that Cuba is turning out more specialized sizes of of the RA marca and fewer of the tried and true RASS: Witness the Belicosos in England, the Eminencias soon to be released in Switzerland and another SS (then name escapes me) soon to be released in Italy.

» I LOVE RASS. Find a box with reddish wrappers and you will fall

in

Really???? The last box of RASS I bought you suggested I take the ones with the little round holes in the wrappers because they draw better, and you wouldn't even charge me extra for them.

The Italian one is the Seleccion Suprema, 143mm X 46 ring.

With a little luck I will have some of these the end of October:-P
