mailman Posted July 27, 2007 Posted July 27, 2007 We Eagle fans amuse ourselves by scaring every Dallas Cowboy fan we see strutting down the street with that obnoxious blue & silver star on his coat. We even swerve our cars as if to hit them, and then swerve back just missing them. One day, while driving along, I saw a priest walking. I thought I would do a good deed, so I pulled over and asked the priest, "Where are you going Father?" "I'm going to give mass at St. Francis Church, about 2 miles down the road," replied the priest. "Climb in, Father! I'll give you a lift!" The priest climbed into the rear passenger seat, and we continued down the road. Suddenly, I saw a Cowboy fan walking down the road, with that coat on and I instinctively swerved as if to hit him. But, as usual, I swerved back into the road just in time barely escaping injury to myself and my passenger! Even though I was certain that I had missed the guy, I still heard a loud "THUD!!!" Not understanding where the noise came from, I glanced in my mirrors; but, didn't see anything. I then remembered the priest, and turned to the priest saying, "Sorry Father, I almost hit that Cowboy fan!" "That's OK," replied the priest, "I got him with the door."
Ken Gargett Posted July 28, 2007 Posted July 28, 2007 i'm no eagles fan but as they say, the enemy of my enemy is my friend. what i want to know is why would you swerve back and miss them?

Mel Posted July 31, 2007 Posted July 31, 2007 I have soften over the many years since leaving the Dallas area during my college years but I am no Cowboys fan. Just imagine yourself in a crowded area where all the fans scream for "Americas Team". I did not hate them till I had to live there.
jwm8592 Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 Good one mailman, I live in Canton, OH and I'm a Browns fan and season ticket holder from way back. Been quite a few tuff years here, but as fans you always hope for the best and even if the team isn't improving the tailgating is!! We have the Hall of Fame game & festivities here during ths week & weekend. Its a pretty big party all week long, even if the lowly steelers are in town for the game. So we'll have some fun at their expense. Now mind you their true fans I really don't have a problem with, its all the front runners & the bandwagon jumping that I take issue with. So good luck to you and your team this seaon, and lets hope we both make it out of training camp few very few injuries.

jwm8592 Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 » » » Hey there watch the Steeler blasphemy!!! :-D I expected a response, well done. I have quite a few neighbors that are steelers fans, sometimes it gets hard to handle while smoking w/these guys. But we try to take it all in stride. I'm sure you and I would get along just fine talking football over a few cigars and some cold beer, or other drink of choice. Good luck Sunday!;-)
