Arrived back a few minues ago from an informative and pleasureable meeting. We thrashed out issues until daybreak

1. Major concern is the lack of stock coming out of Havana. This is likely to improve now that thay are actually back at work. Factories were effectively shut down for 6 weeks from Late July to end August.

There are some serious supply problems which need attending to.

2. There will be regional releases commencing 2006 (late). Regional releases will be exclusive for a period of two years. The three cigars being considered for regional release for PCC are Punch Double Robusto, H. Upmann Diadema, Ramon Allones Churchill. One will be selected by Habanos s.a and we will know which one in the next few months.

3. The fifth anniversary of Limited Edition cigars is 2006 and there will be a re release of the initial cigars including Cohiba Pirimide and Partagas Serie D No 3.

4. Tubed versions of Partagas Serie P No 2, Cohiba Siglo 2 and Partagas D 4 will be available 2006.

5. We have the past of the Partagas Corona 50 cabs and RA 898. You will only see them again in production if they are chosen for a regional release.

6. Custom cigars are currently being explored. The major bone of contention against custom cigars is the variable quality (is this an issue? I would love to hear some feedback from those who have purchased them).

7. I found some more aged stock in the warehouse. Lise will list it next week in my absence.

8. They read the board

Off to get some sleep ;-)

Sounds like the marketing machine called habanos has been hard at work. Tubed d4's sound very intreresting as a long term aging project. The variability of the custom rolls comes from the tobacco available to the roller. You get a well rolled smoke, but the blends depend on what is laying around for them.

It looks like your post has made it to just about every other cigar board in record time. :lol2:

Thanks for the preveiw. As to the custom rolled I have sampled a few of the Tobuada and found them to be great but they are high$. I hear he gets pick of the litter where he rolls. Has anyone else seen his stuff?

As to the dependability of the quality it is similar to trusting the man who supplies you.

» Am I the only one who doesn't understand this first sentence?:lookaround:

I took it to mean the LAST of the cabs and 898s.
