anacostiakat Posted June 10, 2007 Posted June 10, 2007 » Anyone have any views yet on the provenance of cigars made this year? I havent received any '07s yet. All recent acquisitions have been eithe '05 or '06.
El Presidente Posted June 11, 2007 Posted June 11, 2007 » Anyone have any views yet on the provenance of cigars made this year? Keep in mind filler for 2006 was 2003/2004. Only seen a few 2007. Appears to be a continuation of 2006 in therms of tobacco quality.
Tampa1257 Posted June 11, 2007 Posted June 11, 2007 I have only smoked a single example of a 2007 Code Habanos. It was a RASCC and I was very surprised at how approachable it was. It did not display as much of the "Youth" that I typically expect to find in such a young cigar. Too early to give a complete expectation, but if the 2007 vitolas continue as the either early or late 2006 models, then 2007 should be quite a year to stock up the humidor for years to come.

One other point....it would be worthwhile pursuing early 07 and late 06 stock. I can't find a theory (that I find compelling) as to why it should be.....but if there was a study as to a correlation on exceptional box codes, it would be skewed into very early and very late month releases.
