That is exactly what I was thinking. That last pic is insane and it is hard to believe just how big those waves are, they make that monsterous ship look like a toy.

first, while in no way impinging on your motives nor disputing your misguided right to join whatever crusade you wish (tho for kiwis, it is normally against shepherds), can i ask what possible reason for that post here?

next, the reason rob would not like to be a merchant sailor is because it would actually involve real work.

Amazing photos, Rob! Here's one case of the ingenuity of man holding its own against the forces of nature, just barely. Still, you get the sense that nature could ramp up the few fury a few notches and the game would be over. Very humbling.
