El Presidente Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 Dislike people.....you must dislike this cigar with feeling. Should throw up some interesting results. List 3 :-) Let me kick off: Sancho Panza Belicoso. Sancho Panza Sanchos LGC Medaille D'or No 2
Tampa1257 Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 you must dislike this cigar with feeling. Should throw up some interesting results. List 3 1. The Entire Jose Piedra Line, talk about wanting to throw up!!!!!!!! 2. Punch, Punch Punch.... Just don't like them 3. ERDM Choix Supreme, never had a good one, tried, but never worth another chance with me, I'm over trying this one again............
cf2112 Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 The Mag 46 doesn't do it for me, I've never had a good one. Most of the Punch line also (SS & RS excluded)
culebra Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 Guantanamera. Why oh why? Punch Super Seleccion No 1 (2 cabs and have not had one draw properly yet) SLR Serie A. The closest thing Habanos makes to a current Davidoff (ie overpriced and flavorless)
cvm4 Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 S.P. - Non Plus...Aged ('98) or not aged, I just don't get these. Very faint flavors and I guess I like more "in your face" smokes.
Ken Gargett Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 monte LE 'C's. not that i need to with the number you sold me.
El Presidente Posted August 23, 2005 Author Posted August 23, 2005 Thanks Ken....I thought I'd never get rid of them. I actually like them
stevejb Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 PL pc---just don't get them BBF---too inconsistent for my $ RyJ ex4
dragon Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 1) La Corona PC, the worst Habanos cigar I've ever tasted 2) Los Statos Selectos en cedro, nearly as bad as above 3) ERDM Gran Coronas, dry, bitter, poor non-descript flavor
habanohal Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 #1 BBF there a far better tasteing cigars in the Boli line up #2 QDO Just to plain Blaaaaaa #3 most of the COhiba line . No matter what year they come from , I just dont taste anything that special
benzig Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 » 2. Punch, Punch Punch.... Just don't like them they are 1,2 and 3 for me.
rd123456789 Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 BBF Hoyo des Dieux Party Shorts RyJ TPC Just cause they do nothing for me. Added one more for extra measure.
tmos Posted September 2, 2005 Posted September 2, 2005 Besides the LGC's I haven't had anything that really disagreed with me. I'm easy like Sunday morning when it comes to Habanos.:-D
Spud2 Posted September 2, 2005 Posted September 2, 2005 I'll second the Monte C EL, pretty bland for the extra $$.
Elric Posted September 2, 2005 Posted September 2, 2005 San Cristobal El Principe...there are just too many better TPC out there.
thschrminm Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 Guantanamera.... Who buys these things...
El Presidente Posted September 3, 2005 Author Posted September 3, 2005 This is a great thread. It goes to show how varied peples tastes are as we have covered a wide array of cigars. You should never discount a cigar unless you have tried it three times from at least two different purchase points or box dates. I saw Monte 4 and 2 on the list. Seriously, I would love to send you some cracker 4's and 2's from 05 which are sensational and will change your mind :-)
SoCalSmoker Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 '01 Upmann Lonsdale. 90% of them were plugged and the smokable ones just didn't make the grade for me.
Echeck Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 Hoyo Petit Robusto, wierd size, I dont get it
jjwright Posted September 4, 2005 Posted September 4, 2005 Monte #2 RyJ Cazadore Bolivar Royal Corona
CigarZen Posted September 4, 2005 Posted September 4, 2005 Though seemingly a simple and straight forward question, it is deceptively difficult. Over time there have been havanas that I thought were just not my cup of tea, or outright sucked -- only years later to think I was wholly off base when I sampled them again. Maybe I just had some lackluster ones, or from a crop that was weak for that vitola and marque; maybe my pallate evolved or my preferences changed; maybe the vendor's or wholesaler's stroage conditions. Who the knows, probably a combination of influences. So for now, I would say: Sancho Panza Belicoso -- had some years ago and they were too mild. Maybe just too young. I understand they get better. PLPCs -- I think they are only OK, maybe they'll get better with with time. BRC -- I used to love these, a major staple of my purchases pre 95, then went downhill imho. I have has some samples within the last couple years and still am underwhelmed, sadly so.
Elric Posted September 4, 2005 Posted September 4, 2005 SC El Principe-can't hold a candle to Sig I, part shorts and Trini reyes.
