el pato ahumado Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 Okay, time to show myself after lurking around for a few days of reading past threads to get the feel of the flow here. My name's Jack. I live in a Boston suburb where I own a small web design company and have been smoking for just three years or so now. Under another name, I'd been a fairly active member of another board until a year or so ago. As my business and work load grew, I found myself with less and less time to participate; but the real reason I dropped out was because the non-cigar discussions too-often lapsed into uncivil arguments, good-natured ribbing devolved into meanness, and exchanges of differing views became just too difficult and frustrating. Here, though, from what I've been reading, I'm anticipating a different experience. I'm an unashamed Massachusetts liberal and registered Democrat, Red Sox and Patriots fan (enjoyed an Upmann Magnum 46 and a Trinidad Fundadores at the home of another member here while watching them beat the Jets yesterday), pretty fair cook, wine enthusiast, martini lover, rock climber, reasonably competent amateur photographer and perennial gardener. I'm really looking forward to getting to know you and taking advantage of the resources this site has to offer.
