smokum Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 Well kind of an old fart newbie anyway. Glad to have found this place...Habanos have been my indulgence for 15 years via Canada. Love hi performance cars and hi performance cigars....look forward to reading up and finding out about whats happening with the crop these days. Haven't purchased good Havanas since Y2K when I lost my Canadian set-up. I have a question about London vs. AUS pricing and the huge difference....maybe one of you Mods can tell me where best to post my questions....don't want to tick you all off on my first post !! Happy New Year !

Happy New Year ! Welcome to FOH. I suggest that you read all the "Sticky" threads and get a feel for the forum and also get to know some of the members. As to Pricing, we will not go into any specifics, but I'll share this information which is common knowledge. Tobacco Taxes in both the UK and in Canada are the highest and most expensive tobacco taxes in the world, thus you will notice a great difference in prices between the countries you inquired about. Also, The UK charges you the local tax even if they export the tobacco products abroad. You will find a different pricing structure for export vs in country pricing from Australian suppliers. Hope that helps answer your question. Tampa
