Colt45
Purchased as singles - no codes, but can't be younger than some time in '05 An unseasonably warm, and finally sunny, day, I grabbed my last sample. Construction: looked great, felt right. Wrapper: deep caramel in color. very finely toothed with a lustrous sheen. Draw: just on the tight side of perfect. Good smoke volume. As it heated up, smoke volume increased dramatically - draw a non issue. Taste: started with a burst of salty spice. This subsided quickly, and it settled into a very nice flavor of creamy toffee. On the medium side of light in body at this point. There were light hints of cherry that came and went, with some anise on the finish. Some supple leather, and light hints of Cohiba grassiness. Fully halfway in, body becomes near full, but not strong or harsh. Supple leather becomes a bit more prominent, but initial flavors, including dry honey and chocolate remain the core. Throughout the duration, this was so smooth. So well balanced. So well integrated. These get better with time? Whew! I'm envious of those sitting on aged examples. A true superstar in the making. 95 points.
SmokinLightning
Agreed... I've smoked maybe a dozen of these over the last year, and everyone has been fantastic! Need to order a couple more boxes of these!

jadawin
I smoked one of these last night, also a single from Rob without any box codes, but im guessing 05s by the taste of it. Great smoke, and i agree with most of your tasting notes. It worked really well with the massive amount of Cognac i consumed last night too:-D
