Speculating about any dishonest motives seems premature and unfounded. He may have been a little embarrased, "Welcome to FOH, you got scammed..." is a tough first day. I see from the UAE stamp on your Visa that you travel around alot and you mentioned you smoked your first Cohiba in Dubai. I'm new to the community myself and find the members to be a wealth of information on cigars.
