Ken Gargett Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 suspect we have been down this road before but the new 007 film had me looking into it. gin or vodka (in other words, a proper one or a vodka one, but i don't want to pre-empt anything)? shaken or stirred (in other words, do you stir yours or screw it up but again... )? guess that reveals my preferences but i did find some interesting reasons for both sides which i'll post down the track.
JMH Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 Don't know too much, but what I've heard is don't shake them, otherwise the ice releases too much water which makes for a bad drink.
Colt45 Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 I'm not much of a martini drinker, nor gin or vodka in any form, really - though I did go through a gimlet phase years ago. Now margaritas on the other hand........
Jimmy2 Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 What a mess Ken looks in that picture drunk as hell ..
Fatshotbud Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 » What a mess Ken looks in that picture drunk as hell .. In his defense - I believe that was simply a gin induced yawn :-P
Wiley Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 I want to try a Vesper martini after watching the new Bond film! Gin and vodka!
ccsmoker Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 do not use ice, keep the vodka in a freezer be fore you use it ...;-) ;-)
