rumrogue
Got this, along with a mate, some time back & it has slumbered for a while in the sweetie box. Apparently it is a Partagas No.16 vitola. (Mm, that's very interesting). It looks so "right" it's one of those cigars I have to fondle. Often. Avoiding the temptation to light it up. 'Til last night. You just know it will have that Partagas thing. It did. And some. 2 hours of hedonistic pleasure. Great draw & burn. Dark chocolate, nut, honey and black pepper flavours plus that Partagas thing. Bloody lovely. Respect.
El Presidente
Withoud doubt one of the best of all LE releases. You get the feeling that someone involved with Partagas refuses to produce crap cigars.
Ken Gargett
how does it compare to the D2's from 2003? have not tried either for quite a while.
rumrogue
No experience of the D2 mate. So can't answer the question. Unfortunately. :-(
Mel
Absolutly stunning cigar in appearance. Love the size and burn of this cigar. I remember taking one to the turkey woods one day and promised to reward myself for killing a big bird. Didn't shoot squat. I then changed my mind deciding to console myself with the said stick. I lit the monster and in two draws my nose plugged bigger than ****, I had a head cold. Could not taste a thing. I left the band on the whole smoke just so I could know I was smoking a great cigar. Have not had one in a while but will pull one out for my trip to Alaska for salmon at the end of the month.

Elric
» Good to hear these are maturing and will hopefully meet expectations. » It is a pretty cigar. IMO 4th on the EL hit parade behind SD3, Cohiba DC, and Monte rob.
thschrminm
I have a box put away for a while of these... From the sound of it they should probably stay there for a bit longer...
Curmudgeon
I had a couple of those when they were very fresh. I thought they were the best of all the ELs I've tried. In addition to the usual black-pepper flavors present in all the other ELs, they had a great tobacco-ey richness.
