anacostiakat Posted November 25, 2006 Posted November 25, 2006 OEB JUL06. My first Por Larranaga! What a beautiful cigar. I love this vitola. A little more of a pull than I like but it opened up more at the half way mark. Caramel. Smooth caramel... A cigar for the descerning IMHO. Great flavor! Watching Goldfinger with a few fingers of bourbon! :-D
genevapics Posted November 25, 2006 Posted November 25, 2006 Nice to see you take one for the team... the review that is. Goldfinger on Spike TV? Thanks for the heads up. What do you suppose the cigars were that they broke out at dinner. Definitely Cuban as you could see the green stamp on the Boite Nature Box. Couldn't quite figure out the vitola... Lonsdale maybe? And what's with 007... he refused the cigar?! WTF!!
Jimmy2 Posted November 25, 2006 Posted November 25, 2006 Smoked 6 so far last night was the tastest one yet. Will let the many others sleep for a year..
cigardawg Posted November 25, 2006 Posted November 25, 2006 I have smoked one gifted to me. Loved it. Lots of caramel and toasted notes. Plenty of strength and tannins too. I have my box down for the deep sleep. This cigar should be a classic in a few years.

Are you guys talking aboout the PL Lonsdales Regional Release? I got a box on back order and am chomping at the bits to get them. Nice reviews and can't wait to get a good 2-4 years on them.

I just got my box last night, and upon opening it, I got a powerful whiff of cuban goodness. They look gorgeous, and I will let them nap for about a year. Luckily, Servebig gave me 2 singles from one of his 2-3 boxes to try.

I don't think that you will have your back order filled because only 2400 boxes of these were released. I think it's pretty much once out of stock, always out of stock.
Jimmy2 Posted December 23, 2006 Posted December 23, 2006 They don't release them all at once. The second shippment should be out on these E-Mail them to find out..

I received them about 3 weeks ago. Box # 1221 I think.
