Looks like Cohiba Piramides are due to hit vendors this month. Pricing for early orders is about 350 USD for a box of ten. Ouch...... :crying:

You must be lookin at UK prices. They get it in the ass for all their tobacco and alchohol. That is what pays for everyones medical in that country.

Nope, I bet they don't. If that price is correct I bet they sit for a long time and (let me look into my crystal ball) reduced prices will abound. If that price is going to be the actual release price (not pre-release 1st on the block pricing) then Habanos SA/Distributors have vastly overestimated the popularity of the 1st release in 2001. These babies are a stretch at $225-$250.

Yes your right, a UK web site has them for sale now: £189 Sterling per box of 10 including shipping (in UK). Within the EEC , VAT will be added to the total at 17.5%. =£222UK

Without VAT, £189 = $359US = $466AUD :crying: I bet thats about what we will pay in in Australia, given our GST & tobacco taxes.

But I want one of the first boxes.:-D

Just found another website thats got them in for $238 a box......thats more like it :-D!! Still might be a little high, hopefully Rob can have 'em a little lower ;-)

P.S. Website is Western Europe and is a trusted vendor

Given that I was never a fan of the original release, I'll pass on these. $35 per stick is awfully pricey.

Just got an email from Switzerland that the Pyramides are available. Price is 350 CHF a box of 10.

How much would you pay for them, then? 200 max? Or not even?

They're ELs and they're Cohibas. Of course they're going to be very expensive. But I agree this is a little OTT. 28 a piece is the price for limited edition humidors, not ELs. But few people can shell out 3000 or 3500 for a humi. 280 a box is common, except they're normally boxes of 25 at that sort of price. :-(

I'll smoke a few singles and see if I get more than one box or not.

Claudius, I was thinking / hoping $200 or slightly less, but I am in no way surprised

at the prices mentioned so far. I am still undecided.......

Well Rob,

I'd be cautious about picking up too many of these boxes. There have been many posts on multiple boards about the Estupendos being too expensive at about $17/stick. This pricing should be a sober reminder. I think, like the Sublimes, there will be many boxes of these on vendors shelves a year from now.

they were part of the damaged lot i copped and have had a few resurrected to try. but obviously they are not representative and bog average. would have loved to try some good 'uns. last night i tried the cohiba millenium pyramide - reviewed elsewhere. let us just hope that these are better than it was.

LE's just don't seem like they are worth the money. Seems like the prices on LEs just keep going up with the marketing hype. Any idea how many boxes of the Cohiba's are being produced?
