This will more than likely engender more than a few guffaws, but here goes....

I grabbed a cigar from the NC box, and while smoking, thought about how I'd

like to try a cigar blended with Cuban and non Cuban tobaccos.

It would be a new line, not an extension of an existing marque - maybe call it

oh, I don't know, Potro, or Cuarenta y Cinco, something silly like that.

An example blend could be a mix of Cuban and Nicaraguan filler, with a Connecticut

wrapper.

A few sizes - mareva, dalia, corona gorda, campana, and julieta2.

I'd give them a shot.........

Not such a wild idea Ross, especially given Altadis involvement in Habanos s.a. It is a looong way down the road as TABACUBA would not have a bar of it.

I thought there was some blending of Cuban leaf with Canary Island tobacco....Goya? I know it is not Vuelta Abajo leaf as this is forbidden to be exported.

They used to burn people at the stake for less than this

The idea has already been done in Europe from my understanding. While they are not using prime tobaccos from Cuba, the results have been found by most people that have tried a Hybrid to be extremely less than favorable, i.e., the cigars blended with Cuban and Non-Cuban tobacco have sucked arse! I will enjoy staying with a Puro myself. Why smoke a hybrid that sucks when you can smoke a Cuban Machine made for less money?

possibly, but my understanding is they are not "prime" cigars.

» ... picture a Party Corona blended with a Padron Anny...

kind of my thought - top tobacco, top construction, etc...

good chance I have an express ride on the down elevator as it is.

again, my thoughts are for a "real" cigar, and I agree about smoking crap.

really, this is just kind of thinking out loud - I'm willing to try anything at least twice

(well, not anything)

No, they're not, but as you smoke NCs I thought you might be interested in them.
