new discontinued list

Folks,

I just read on another forum that Habanos SA has just released a new discontinued list. However, I haven't been able to confirm this information.

Has anyone else heard about a new "To be discontinued this year" list?

Just heard about it today, myself. Notables include: Dip 1 & 3; Upmann Monarcas; JL Corona; Partagas Churchill & Corona; Boli Corona; QdO Grand Corona; RG Lonsdale, Panetela, Slenderella; ERDM Tainos; SLR Lonsdale; Sancho Panza Sancho and Corona.

I'm not 100% conifdent in this info, but this is what I have heard.

Neither am I, thats why I din't mention any of the cigars that were named. This kind of info definately needs to be confirmed. Unfortunately, the only place I have heard about it is somewhat questionable.

I have now heard from some other people that have read the same thing.

It tenetively appears that it is the case.

I would love to hear Rob's information regarding this issue. Perhaps he has a bit more specific info?

I have fired away the list for confirmation from Habanos. To date I have not heard of this list. I am surprised to see some cigars on it including the ERDM Tainos. It has been habanos policy up until now to not delete the benchmark vitola (i.e largest) in any Marque.

WOW. I sure hope this list is a joke. ERDM Tainos? Partagas 898? Very hard to believe, and would be a huge mistake to take these away.

Partagas Coronas dropped?? WTF is going on and What moron is in charge? What's next the CoRo? The corona is the benchmark/median cigar and is the most classic of all. I don't give a rats f---ing ass about all the new EL, Regional Release and new-fangled ****. Lets have tried and true classic Cuban cigars please. All I could imagine is that these are cigars that Habanos SA would like to "push", but not discontinue. Could this be a possibility?

Definitely some shockers on there if it is true.
