OEB factory Por Larannaga from MAR and Diplomaticos from MAY have been stunningly excellent. The PLPCs are unbelievable from the Czar cab. CoRos too from this factory and date range are also excellent. All above cigars show excellent potential but are so good now it will be hard to age them long. I am finding them noticeably stronger than 05's and in fact stronger across the board than anything since 96. I can only suggest better ligero is being used. We are only seeing to MAY 06 production at this time but let's see how the rest of the year pans out. One thing that is also standing out is that the wrapper is not as visually perfect (again...across the board) as 05. Damn tasty however. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
stever Posted August 22, 2006 Share Posted August 22, 2006 Upmann No.2 (ROA MAR 06) was surprisingly good. I think I prefer the Bolivar Junior from FEB06 over SEP05. I've had a couple 06s so far and I have found them to be better than the 05s when they were the same age. PLPCs, again were the highlight of the group.
