Is this little device unique to Cuba or is it in play in other countries? Is there any purpose to a triple cap over a single wrap, or is it just asthetic? I have recently been using the triple cap with my two front pearly whites to begin the smoking ritual. I don't need no stinkin cutter! OLD SCHOOL:confused:

I find that tripple caps provide a cleaner cut. Other types tend to unravel on me when i clip it.

!LOL!

Triple caps are easier to cut with teeth or nails (which is what all Cubans do). I am unsureif this is the reason for it's use but I will ask when in Havana next week.

Another resurrection.

Do any of you cut your cigars with your teeth? It may sound barbarian, but an old buddy of mine (who introduced me to these forums, and whose opinions I value) informed me a while back, when I asked his opinions on different cutters, that he owns none. He bites and lights.

Cap notwithstanding, I find it objectionable to scalp my cigars with the same finger I pick my nose with. Therefore a special tool is required.

I use a cutter but there have been times I’ve been without a cutter and do it cowboy style (bite it off an spit it out).

Been using my thumbnail exclusively for many years. Doesn’t work on pointies, but I have a pocketknife for those.
