stever Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 My friend, Scot (cigardawg), turned me onto this site and I'm glad to finally take the plunge. My first introduction to Habanos was back in the early eighties in England with the Upmann line. I've only really got back into smoking seriously in the last year or so, but I intend to stick with it this time around. Looking forward to getting to know other members.

That should be no problem. The trick will be to keep from taking out a second mortgage in order to fund your, soon to be, obsession. Rob, Lisa and the crew are great in the service department, the prices are very good and the whole community here is very fun and supportive. Welcome.

It's about fricken' time you signed on. Steve and I get together at least once a week for a cigar or three. His wife calls me the corruptor. I take great pride in that title.:-D
Tampa1257 Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 Welcome to FOH. I had had the pleasure of meeting up with Scot and his lovly wife for cigar before, and for you to have the honor of meeting with him often and learning from him, then you have a great mentor. Read, learn and enjoy!
stever Posted June 28, 2006 Author Posted June 28, 2006 Thank you for the warm welcome. Everyone has really been friendly. I'm grateful to have made Scot's (a.k.a. "The Corrupter" per my wife) acquaitance. I really have benefited from his vast knowledge and experience, and he raves about the board and the level of service with Czar. I'm looking forward to learning more through this board and intend to have fun in the process! Hope to post a review shortly, but not, of course, until it has been subjected to a blistering critique and re-edit by Scot
Homebrew Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 Welcome Bro.:-) Where is Cville??? Just wondering, I live I a C'ville too.:-D Welcome to the finest Habana BBS on the net.:-) Dave (A.K.A. Homebrew)
stever Posted June 29, 2006 Author Posted June 29, 2006 Short for Charlottesville, Virginia, located 2 hours due south of DC. Named after Queen Charlotte and home to 3 Presidents: Jefferson, Madison and Monroe. Well worth a visit. Beautiful scenery, excellent University (UVa), good golf and good food. Scot, myself and a few others can usually be found smoking at the bar at the Downtown Grille (great steaks and seafood) on Thursday evenings.
anacostiakat Posted June 29, 2006 Posted June 29, 2006 Hi Ho Steverino. :-) Welcome Aboard! Arrrggghhh. . .
