First Lady Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 Stan Just located a really big problem with your humidor ................It's already full :-D Time to get another TFL
Guest cohiba Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 Yes i know, darn it !!! Maybe that is why im trying to weed out a few boxes !! Hope i dont have to though. Im actually thinking i can squeeze in a couple smaller vitola's. LOL Thanks Lisa
Ken Gargett Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 on closer examination, quite clearly all fakes but fear not, i'm happy to take them off your hands at no cost to yourself. it would be a nice gesture if, in the face of this genorsity, you tossed in the humidor. no need to thank me.
dogbreath Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 Great cabinet! The wife is always looking for a nice piece of furniture. Hmmmm....
anacostiakat Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 Nice pics! Yes Bob makes very fine pieces of furniture. Great guy to deal with. I have his Aristocrat endtable unit with the smoking cigars cut glass front door which is smaller than yours. It is sadly filled and I will have to expand soon. Very soon. . .
Guest cohiba Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 »» » Do you know what the lighter colour timber is on the door ? Is it Birdseye » Maple ? Its Tiger Quilt Maple. Very pretty stuff, kinda moves with the light !! Crown molding as well. The rest is natural cherry.
Colt45 Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 Great cabinet - congrats! I'd be interested to know what your thoughts are on the climate control, after you've had it for a bit - or the thoughts of anyone with a similar set up.

Well i think its becoming obvious that i tend to dive into things !!! For me it was worth just going all out. Didnt want to be disappointed later on. Hind site sucks !!! Where i live on the coast of california, the home's dont have A/C. For about a month in the summer time it can get up to maybe the 80's inside our home. Very rare but it happens. For now it is set at 67 degrees. Comes on maybe 4-5 times a day for about 10 minutes. Its a little loud, being on wood floors doesnt help, but my opinion is it worth the extra money. Plus if i ever move im prpared for warmer climates as well.
Van55 Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 Great investment.... now you need to order the matching one for the other end of your sofa.
RPB67 Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 You will have many many years of enjoyment with that humi. That is one great investment....
genevapics Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 That really is a beautiful looking humidor. Bob really does great work! Looks like you already have it full! You may need to step up your smokes/week to help make room for so new goodies. Either that or your could donate a box or two to moi!:-D
cobra Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 That is a beautiful box. You have strong will to limit yourself to 2-3 a week. With that selection you must be real popular at family get-togethers.
Guest cohiba Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 Just received my new cabinet. Aristacrat complete climate control !! Bob Staebel is a top notch guy to work with. Delivers exactly what is promised. This is one reason why i am really looking at the few box that are "suspect". I bought a cabinet thinking that they was a little room to grow, but their really isnt. Thas ok though, like i have said im in my first couple years of cigar enjoyment, and have purchased alot !!! I only really smoke 2 a week sometimes 3. Just really enjoying the hobby and the education along the way. After recently being married and a quik baby ( who is the light of my eye!! ) this is the only real thing i do for myself. It keeps me close to home, but a quiet and peaceful hour or two. I have to hand it to all of those who participate in this forum ! Its the only one i follow, and a huge learning experience. I rely on you all alot, and value your opinions and experinces. Us newbees need folks like you, which in turn will be passed on after us as well. Up until lately i have lurked more than participated, but i am learning how to express what i am tasting and defining differnt qualities in my cigars. Rob and Lisa are very familiar with myself, and have treated me wonderfully. Thank you Friends of Habanos for all you have taught me !! And for the boxes in question.........that will never happen again ! lol Damn learning curves
skid11 Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 » Very nice indeed, a bit of drool is majestically dripping from the side of my mouth ! (well as majestic as drool can drip) Do you know what the lighter colour timber is on the door ? Is it Birdseye Maple ? Whatever it is it looks great............. and with a great piece of "furniture" like this I imagine the wifey won't mind you purchasing and filling another one ! Then you'll have a matching set;-)
