i have trout.

rarely has nz seen such excitment, though one suspects it has seen bigger fish. still, two days to go. tomorrow, weather permitting, helifishing.

the place we are staying was featured in one episode of 'a river somewhere'.

Helifishing, eh? Must be a real challenge to take large trout. Do you use the machine guns or rockets? I find dynamite to be more sporting. :-)

You would need a helicopter to reach the fish....since you can't cast a fly line. Must be embarrasing having the Helicopter hover 20 feet from the bank

for reasons i cannot begin to explain, the casting has been spot on. there has been a transformation. i have no idea why either and am even more surprised.

but wait till you see today's photo. i now have big trout.

i have, and for once this is no exxageration, approx 250 photos. just finished the third day. what a briilaint place. i don't follow the machine gun and dynamite comment???

and best of all, we have more big trout.
