raney Posted June 21, 2005 Posted June 21, 2005 Hi all. New to this forum, though i see some familiar names here from another board I frequent. I'm new to habanos this year, but loving every minute of the developing obsession. I tend to smoke primarily smaller vitolas due to my schedule - some faves right now are the Boli PC/CJ, SCdlH El Principes, Party shorts and Charlottes, and just got a very nice box of Hoyo Short Coronas (thanks for the recommendation El Presidente - on the money!) when I have a little more time, I'm partial to PSD4, VR Famosos, and BBFs. Looklng forward to lurking around here - I'll post more as I have more to say. 'Til then I'll shut up and learn. Peace, Raney
gehrig24 Posted June 21, 2005 Posted June 21, 2005 Welcome Raney. I am newish at the Cuban thing as well. It is a good board to learn and laugh.
1f1fan Posted June 21, 2005 Posted June 21, 2005 Welcome to the board. Nice selection of smokes you listed there, the Boli CJ and Partagas Short are my go-to smokes when time is short. If you like the Monte profile, I enjoy the #5's also.

Cab of shorts and box of CJs was one of the first purchases I made. Actually, I think you also supplied me with my first El P as well... Nice to see you here.
Ken Gargett Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 in one of my final remaining acts as the fake el pres before his realness's return (when is he back?), welcome abaord.
Tampa1257 Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 Nice selection you have made. Welcome to the board, and a great group of cigar smokers that you have joined. I would say that the "Minutos" size for me is an excellent 30-40 minute cigar, and the majority of the ones you have mentioned are standards in my humidor. You might also consider the Ramon Allones Small Club Coronas, very flavorful and also an exceptional smoke. Tampa
tmos Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 Welcome! Ditto on the selection....looks like you've been enjoying some terrific smokes.
GoatLocker Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 Hey Raney, Welcome from another newb. Good to see you over here!

Hello Raney, I see you have a similar problem as myself:-D She will get accustom to it over time, hopefully ;-) Sounds like you are starting out with a nice selection of smokes, and you can't go wrong with suggestions from the Pres!!! Cheers, Jim
