DocRKS Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 I've just received this email from 1st Lieut. T.S.M. - whom a few on our Board have supported with packages of cigars and other sundries...... This outstanding young Lieutenant is assigned to the 101st AIRBORNE Div.... ....God Bless All Who Serve in the Armed Forces of any of the Coalition Nations (includes Australia !) - Bring them back Safely and Soon.... DocRKS "Sir and Ma'am, I received the package and it was great as usual. The soldiers love the cigars. Of course I kept some of the food all to myself because the goodies you send are too good to let out. Well....maybe if I get to crazy with the chocholates I will have to give some away. The cross word puzzles were great as well, its a good way to pass the time. I have also received some packages from some of your friends on the cigar net. They really were awesome, I will be corresponding with them either today or tomorrow. Since I have been over in the sand box, I can't believe the level of support that I have received. It makes me realize how great it is to be a soldier and it makes it worth while, especially with all of the 'crap' that has been going down with the sectarian violence in Iraq. Hopefully, it will turn out good in the end, but at times, things don't look very promising right now. I hope everything is well. Talk to you soon. Respectfully, 1LT T.S.M.

argon345 Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 Hey Doc, Thanks for the post!....If anyone deserves a good smoke, they do!!
NJLimoDriver Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 Thanks for the reminder - we get such propoganda on the news - cheers Mike
Tampa1257 Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 I received another letter from LT Jon today as well, thanking me for another recent arrival of cigars that he received. I believed that the latest package was a little bigger than he may have expected, because he said that not only was there enough for his Platoon, but for two other Platoons in his unit as well. It does my heart good knowing that this men know that they have our moral support from home and them smoking a fine cigar after performing their duties and being able to relax just a tad for a few minutes during their day brings a smile to my face.

We aim to send a package a week out - it actually works out closer to every 10 days at times - more often around the Holidays... The very large package that our young 1LT is referring to above is his Easter package and it included a lot of cigars that were given me to send over to Iraq and Afghansitan at the recently held Long Island Herf - which was a very well attended event ! BTW - this package also contained some OUTSTANDING Smokes donated by Fearless Leader - thanks again Rob !!!! God Bless All Members of The Armed Forces of All The Coalition Nations --- Bring Them Back Safely and Soon....
