josie67 Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 » Man, they got me drooling all over! No doubt. Beautiful looking cigars.

DocRKS Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 The 2nd band is the LCDH band --and as shown, there is an LCDH nameplate on the front side of the box.....
Jimmy2 Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 Which one are the best to get in the series PreZ from what you can see . Do they all the same taste profile or some are full strength /Med/Mild Med ??
argon345 Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 Rob, you sure do know how to make a man dig deep into his pockets!! LOL!! I too would be interested to know what you think of the three...though its too late for me
El Presidente Posted March 29, 2006 Author Posted March 29, 2006 Hard question. I can tell from the aroma that they are not ready to smoke yet. Interestingly they appear to have used the older Criollo 98 wrapper (which based on the 7 year cycle, this might be the lastof it). Which one? !LOL! I am an Oficio's type of man. However the big Torps are awesome.
argon345 Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 Hey Rob, thanks for the info!! Could you fill me in a bit more on the Criollo 98 wrapper?? Not to sure what this is... Thanks!! Oh and those Oficio's look damn nice and they are the perfect size!!
Elric Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 Great looking sticks and what looks to be an impressive presentation!
Andyman Posted April 3, 2006 Posted April 3, 2006 got a chance to try a Merallis this weekend.. very nice guys! it has that really really strong barnyard smell and taste. Very unique I can't compare it to anything on the market right now. A buddy of mine says it reminds him of the older pre 95 habanos..
El Presidente Posted April 3, 2006 Author Posted April 3, 2006 We are working on an article currently re wrappers used on cigars since 1998. Tobacco strains have a 7 year lifespan in Cuba before they are replaced by a new strain. This continuous evolution minimises the chances of disease taking hold. At any one time, there can be 3-4 strains being grown across Cuba. Criollo 98 in the main did not produce the most attractive of wappers. While generally Colorado brown, it could also have a tinge of green. It was however thin and flavoursome and one of my favourite wrapper types on any cigar to the extent that I seek it out.
El Presidente Posted November 15, 2008 Author Posted November 15, 2008 Three new sizes released to Casa De Habanos stores worldwide. A picture say's a thousand words. For those interested, e-mail Lisa for pricing. Exceptionally Limited stock and I am unsure of how much more (if any) we will receive.

I wish I was in a position to move forward with a box of these, yet that is not a possibility. Maybe one day I'll have the opportunity to smoke one, but if not I know those that will, will certainly enjoy them.
