Por Larranaga Montecarlo

6 1/4 inches x 35 Ring Guage.

Tampa hit it on the head with this one. Burn't Caramel taste in spades. Not the prettiest stick on earth but the caramel wrapper reflects the flavour 100%.

Again, I went through a box of these in Havana. They are inexpensive and represent one of the best value for money cigars on the market. NOT ONE CIGAR WAS PLUGGED which is an amazing feat (by Cuba standards) for this long Panetela size.

I would rank it solidly as medium bodied which starts off with charred cherry and wood notes before descending into one long burn't caramel/over extracted Espresso flavour bomb.

Burn is OK but again another late 05 cigar and for the price paid ($2euro) who gives a damn.

When available pick a box up.

Here is the rub. I always believed they were Machine made but this box was hand rolled.

You have to love the Montecarlo. Excellent smoke especially at that price point.

The only thing I'd like to add to what is written above is that I've found this stick demands you take your time in smoking it --hit this one too hard and too quick and it becomes VERY hot and bitter - as do most of the thinner ring guaged cigars - but I have found this one even more so...

The Montecarlo was my first introduction to Por Larrañaga. :-)

These and the Petit Coronas make me very said that there aren't more vitolas in this brand :-(

I have only had the PLPC ....But am sure anxious to try the Montecarlo when they are available...
