Ken Gargett Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 having just read rob´s dribble, may i say that i am deligted that the brother grimm is still in form. and i thought we were on the same trip??? fabulous night last night. rob wanted to take us to a smal intimate bar but was outvoted. so off the ´house of models´. it is a genuine establishment with extraordianrily beuatiful women doing a fashion show and then a great band. one of our favourites. going well as stunning girl after girl (and a few cuban blokes for the families) walked past our table. rob is humming away. i ask what is the tune and, no lie, he looks at me as though we all should know it - ¨that´s the theme to brokeback mountain´. seriously, some days he couldn´t get pissed in a pub. then this amazing girl sits down by herself at the next door table. one of the most beautiful girls we have ever seen. so we go into meltdown. why is she there? wehere is she from? does the ring mean anything? what should we do? eventually the committee deciedes to offer her a drink but too late. she had got bored and left. like herding cats, looking after this mob. out comes the band and they are fantastic. three female singers. eventually tyhey need to improve the act so they drag macho and myself up on stage. talk about the dance of the dying hippos! that was macho, of course. they had us gyrating and bopping and literally on our backs bouncing around. great fun and if i wasn´t so modest, i would mention that they did say i was a much better dancer than macho but that is a bit like saying one kiwi is nicer than another. anyway, it was getting a little desparate, so we picked up the band. (just the girl singers). lovely girls, all respectable. arranged lunch for elk ajibe the next day. cigars - working through a lot of these esplendidos. love them. a very grubby siglo three. mixed reviews on the upmann supers. slow morning and off to el ajibe. a hoot. nuff said. they have a seriously good wine list though finishing with the mexican nebbiolo may have been excessive. still have not organised fishing so a bit of a worry. more soon.
habanohal Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 If thoses H. Upmann Super coronas make their way back homw with you, I will take them off your hands. I think alot of us wish we were there but will have to settle liveing through you.
