Also known as a low end professional wrestlers whose primary job was to lose matches to boost popularity / credibility of others. These guys had no storyline, generic outfits, and no fans. They were really just “doing the job” as part of the booking.

This is the definition I'm most familiar with. The Brooklyn Brawler is the best one that comes to mind. Ah, the good old days.

Cheers!

Aka "jabronies" or as Scott Hall pronounced it, "Gibrones".

I believe The Iron Sheik was the one who brought Jabroni to the locker room. The Rock popularized it. As for Jobbers Bobby the Brain Heenan called them ham and eggers lol. Iron Mike Sharp was a jobber.

I always thought Heenan's "ham and eggers" was a diss at the WWF crowds. He used it a lot when a heel wrestler had a "royal" gimmick. Such as Jerry "The King" lawler. Harley Race, William Regal, etc.

As for Iron Mike Sharp. You keep his name outta yo goddam mouf!!  😉  Iron Mike was a top tier jobber. Up here in Canada back in the 70's and 80's we had Maple Leaf Wrestling on Channell 11 which was kinda like WWF's Canadian minor leagues. Iron Mike was pretty much at the top there. Other jobbers like Silent Brain Macknee, who happened to be deaf, got some airtime there. Lots of wrestling hopefuls and wannabee's that never quite made it.  Once in a while a WWF mid-carder would head over to squash some poor jobber. I could've sworn that the Road Warriors had an appearance. They basically came running out after their tag opponents were halfway to the ring!  The ambushed them, threw them into the ring, did their finishers and left. To say this lasted over a minute would be generous. My brother's and I couldn't stop laughing.

Heenan used the term Ham and Eggers interchangeably between jobbers and trailer trash fans, lol.
