This week's film is courtesy of @Capn_Jackson's craptastic collection, with 1992's: Army of Darkness

Third instalment of the franchise, with Evil Dead and Evil Dead II needing no introduction. How does this one fare?

Over to you. :cigar:

If you've seen it, jump in and comment below. If not, your challenge is to put yourself through it this week and join in the conversation... assuming you make it out alive. :D

Feel free to PM me suggestions to feature each week :ok:

It’s a classic. Ash has some great one liners.

“Good… bad… I’m the guy with the gun.”

“Shop smart. Shop S-Mart. You got that?”

Love this movie, but not even close to the first movie in this franchise, Evil Dead. Gone is the semi-serious nature and emotional rollercoaster ride of the original. This is pure comedy + bad acting = awesome.

"Hail to the king, baby"

Cheers!

One of the best horror comedies ever made. It helps to watch the first two to get the context and character of Ash and the Necronomicon and the deadites but it isn't mandatory. This game was so good at one point there was an iPhone game about it.

Has anyone seen the TV show 'Ash vs Evil Dead'? It's only 3 seasons, but the first 2 are more than watchable and there's plenty of hilarity. Evil Dead the musical is a must-watch too; I've never seen an audience on their feet cheering during a performance before. It's also the first musical I've been to where the audience gets a raincoat for all the blood

Cheers!

…And in the best, most glorious way possible.

Hail to the King, baby.

Sometime in high school, my band and I watched this with our friends, and we made it at least a monthly event. When we’d bring a new date over, we always subjected her to it. Many times, those dates never came back. 😆

My wife has heard this line from me way too many times. Usually right after I’ve done something dumb that was unauthorized by her but necessary according to me. 😁
