Popular Post Montezüma Posted April 23 Popular Post Posted April 23 Happy April FOH, I just wanted to share an evening I had at an LCDH in Bali. It is the first LCDH in Indonesia, nestled in a vibrant part of Bali. A convenient location between the various hotspots of the paradise island, unfortunately not beachside but still an interesting enough locale near Legian. For those who have visited the island and perhaps for those who have frequented from the land down-under, it is easily reachable at around 30 minutes from the airport (on a quieter season that is). I spent an enjoyable two hours in their cozy lounge in the second floor, crediting the vibe to the cuban decor, comfy sofas and friendly staff. The drinks selection was fair but they had empanadas as snacks and that was particularly delicious. As with any cigar lounge though, ventilation is always crucial. In the hot and humid environment of the tropical island, windows are always closed in an air-conditioned space. Fortunately they fitted ceiling exhausts as well as plug-in air purifiers and I had found this sufficient. If it were at full capacity though, it may have been different. The first floor housed their reception and walk-in humidor but they had an Ipad tablet for digital catalogue. If you wish to inquire their collection prior to visit, you can always request in advance. In any case, you are welcome to bring your own cigar for a reasonable enough cork charge. What is important to keep mind though, is the opening times as this place closes fairly early on weekdays at last orders around 9PM. If I may present one drawback, is that I witnessed a guest being allowed to light a cigarette. A big no for a cigar lounge that fortunately for me was only for a brief moment during my time there. If there is one thing that makes this place a standout, it really is the decor and ambience paired with cubanesque music. Unlike many places around the world, Bali is still cigar-friendly and so there are plenty of destinations to choose from. For me and perhaps others who already have a familiar cigar source, its not so much the cigar selection as it is the lounge itself. Speaking of which, I did decide to entertain their selection and went for a Partagas Series D. They had various coronations to choose from but it was the LCDH HDM Elegantes that had caught my eye, yet again given the time constraints of the place, I went for a more timely option. Their cigar cutter was quite the conversation piece, consistent with the experience of the place altogether. In the end, its always nice to have a place cigar enthusiasts can visit. Whether on a trip with friends as I was or for a quiet break during a family holiday. I have visited several LCDH around the world and found this one to be one of the most cozy despite not having a collection of grandeur. If you have the time, it maybe worth a quick visit. 16 2
Popular Post Connoisseur Kim Posted April 26 Popular Post Posted April 26 That LCDH is one of the most elegant and classy cigar lounges I've ever seen in my life 👍! Thanks for sharing, and I wish there were more cigar lounges like Bali LCDH in Korea. 5
