It's not too often that one sees a Cigar manufacturer team up with a Luxury Watch company to bring out a new release, in tandem...

Cavalier Genève Turns to Cvstos for 10th Anniversary Watch & Humidor Release

April 6, 2026 - Charlie Minato

For its 10th anniversary celebrations, Cavalier Genève has turned to a member of Geneva’s famed watchmaking community for a special collaborative release that mixes cigars and horology.

The project centers around a special version of Cvstos’ Jetliner watch, a tonneau-shaped model that features an in-house self-winding movement with date, hour, minute and second functions. Cavalier Genève is getting its own colorway of the watch, which comes with a tobacco-colored leather strap as well as a brown rubber strap. The case features eight gold diamonds, a nod to the edible gold foil that Cavalier puts on the surface of many of its cigars. In addition, the screw-down crown is gold and has the Cavalier Genève logo.

 Press Release

CVSTOS has partnered with Cavalier Genève for a refined collaboration that brings together two Geneva-born maisons united by a shared dedication to craftsmanship, precision, and excellence.

Blending the worlds of Haute Horlogerie and artisanal cigar making, this exclusive project is presented as a limited-edition collector’s set featuring the Jetliner PS timepiece, a bespoke humidor, and 30 specially crafted cigars created to mark the 10th anniversary of Cavalier Genève.

The watch is produced in steel with 5N red gold accents, reflecting Cavalier Genève’s distinctive identity. Its design includes the Cavalier Genève emblem on the dial and subtle details inspired by the brand’s signature 24-carat gold diamond. At its heart is the CVS410 self-winding mechanical calibre, enhanced by an exclusive tobacco-brown coating. The timepiece is delivered with two straps: one in light brown rubber and one in Havana brown alligator leather.

The accompanying cigars are handcrafted in Honduras using a balanced blend of Honduran and Nicaraguan tobaccos, expressing the same respect for tradition and savoir-faire that defines both brands.

Strictly limited to 30 sets, the CVSTOS x Cavalier Genève collaboration is a tribute to patience, artistry, and the appreciation of life’s finest rituals.

Looks like a great gift for someone who knows nothing about watches and cigars.

Those cigars have been strongly put forward in the French cigar press and social media for some time now, never had one and don't know anybody who has though. I'm not much of a watch guy so me not knowing cvstos as a brand is no surprise.

Sounds like advertising a movie starring Eric Roberts alongside Scott Adkins to me.

CVSTOS & Cavalier Genève – Allocations Are Closed

May 6, 2026 - Press Release

Cavalier Genève has announced earlier today that the allocations have been closed for the CVSTOS & CAVALIER set collaboration. All available sets have been spoken for.

The sets should be shipping this summer. All watches have been produced, as well as the cigars. The humidors are in the process of production, and deliveries will start once these have been received, checked for quality standards review, and approved.

“It has been fantastic to see the overwhelming positive reaction to our collaboration with CVSTOS.” Said Sebastien Decoppet, Founder of Cavalier Genève. “Making something of the sort happen is always a challenge, and you never can fully know what the overall reaction of the public will be. I am glad to see that, not only the watch world, but the cigar world alike, have welcomed this collaboration.”

“I would like to thank our good friends at CVSTOS for this incredible experience. Creating a watch was never something I would have even dreamt of in my wildest dreams, and here we are, with this project completed, and such a positive reaction from all our partners. Thank you.” Said Sebastien Decoppet.

I appreciate some brands gather some hardcore devotees, but I wouldn't have thought a brand like Cavalier Genève would have "5-figure watch" fans.

More like CG would like consumers that can afford $5# watches and this leverages them into that space. Charlie's article in Halfwheel implies these units were offered the watch sales team. Perhaps a future with less CC distribution in Switzerland is being envisioned, with CG taking some of that pie. Gotta tell the consumer what's good, and money is an easy metric to make your point.

I guess it's basically a wearable art piece, but it seems like the more expensive a watch is, the more useless it also is. Could I afford one, potentially yes. Do I have even the faintest desire to carry around a clunky piece of metal that does 1/100th of the useful things my lightweight modern gadgets do, no. It is very nice looking and will certainly outlive my higher tech one, but it also won't notify me of important emails, record my sleep patterns, check my resting heart rate or track me back to where I parked my car or started my hike. 🤷‍♂️
