This series to explore whether a particular cigar is humidor worthy. Cost these days is an issue for many so let's see if we can highlight some absolute standouts. This should particularly assist those new to the cigar world.

To be fair, most of the cigars we have featured to date have scored exceptionally well. Surprisingly well!

Scoring is: 1-3 (Poor)   4-6 (Average to good)   7-10  (very good to excellent)  Use the Poll.

Why oh lord why?

Don't get me wrong, the blend is excellent. Rich, tasty and oozing in lip smacking Montecristo cocoa/creamy goodness. There are some who claim that it is a superior blend to the hallowed Montecristo Number 2. I wouldn't argue the point.

But here is where the bean counters at Habanos SA got it all wrong. They released a cigar that no one asked for, a cigar that is 23% shorter than the Monte 2 and priced it roughly 10% cheaper.

Hard to believe it hasn't been a more successful seller :cofcig:

“It must be for people who buy ponies”:rotfl:

Joking aside though, they do look quite tasty but I’ve never tried one. As others have said. I’d sooner park my coin in some Monte 2s.

I do love a Monte #2. Never tried the Petit No.2, but would probably give it a go. Not sure the price point makes a lot of sense though, especially since I'm not confident it would evolve the same way flavor wise as the full sized one does.

I've never tried one but sure wouldn't turn up my nose if given the chance. Do enjoy the brand as a whole.
