I am thinking of how this is going to work. The US says I can legally sell oil in Cuba but not to the government. So I think about the problems I would encounter. Maybe just send an ISO container which is about 5000-7000 gallons for a test run. They say Miami Cubans are lining up to send fuel to Cuba. Ha-ha. Will Venezuela give me the subsidized price? I'll work on the math later. Let's find out about the legal stuff. I envisioned a line of cars in front of my father-in-law's house waiting their turn to get fuel. The family could sell beer and tostones during the wait. "Thanks John", the locals would say. "We really needed for you to do this". As I went further and further into that dead end alley of research I found my answer. Recently the US Embassy in Havana asked the Cuban government if they could import some diesel in order to keep their generators running. Cuba said, "get schtupped". Spain stepped in and said: "Hey we have a lot of diesel sitting around from them Melia boys that stopped construction on 3 hotels in Varadero". They just want to get their money back. Cuba said: "Oye cabron vete pal carajo". So there's your answer. No fuel, no beer, no tostones.

Right now, one can insert any country in the world (into this question) and ponder how to get fuel to it!
