feernot Posted March 16 Posted March 16 First of all, if this topic is already discussed or plainly available elsewhere on the forum I apologize. I'm still getting used to this forum's format and locating information like this. As a predominantly New World smoker in the US, I'm very familiar with cellophane and long term storage of cigars. However, I'm new to Fabrica5 and have several bundles arriving today that I'm very excited to rest and enjoy. Which brings me to my problem dumb question. I'm assuming that the plastic wrap around the Fabrica5 bundles is a porous material like cellophane, right? And is it okay to store Fabrica5 cigars long-term wrapped in those plastic bundles or is it preferred and recommended to remove them from it? 3
Popular Post griller Posted March 16 Popular Post Posted March 16 I've kept some 2+ yr old bundles in the plastic to no ill effect. With that being said, a while back I grabbed 2 bundles of the Lonsdales & put them into an old Davidoff (Dominican) cab of 50 that was laying around and empty. Figured I'd dignify them with a true box and give them an opportunity to age appropriately in Spanish cedar. 5
BrightonCorgi Posted March 16 Posted March 16 You can store them as they are delivered. I move them into whatever empty box I have that will hold them. If I have empty tubos that will fit, I use those too. 4
carsncigarsuk Posted March 17 Posted March 17 I'm sure they are fine as they are when they arrive but I tend to open one end and leave in the tupperdor, or open them right up and fill a shelf in the humidor. 3
