jps2345 Posted March 6 Posted March 6 Canadian guy here. Do good value sticks still exist? Any recommendations?

Lucas Buck Posted March 7 Posted March 7 There are also a few threads recently discussing this very topic. Search will turn them up. 1
zacca Posted March 7 Posted March 7 Uncle Elon told me I can get only regular production Behike and Esplendidos unless it’s a special occasion. They’re no Gran Reserve Cosechas or Anniversary Editions, but I find them to be decent quality for the money. 2
Capn_Jackson Posted March 7 Posted March 7 Absolutely they do. NC and CC. Just depends on what you’re looking for. Let us know…
JDoughty Posted March 7 Posted March 7 Fabrica005, duh! Click above to get there. Honduran puros but absolutely delicious, complex and surprisingly Cubanesque especially with a few months of age on them. And pretty cheap. No boxes, no bands, no bullshit, but very, very tasty sticks that scratch that Cuban itch pretty well without breaking the bank. Fantastic sticks, fill your humidors with them and enjoy. If you want them even cheaper than that, I recently discovered Don Roque cigars. They are bargain basement sticks price wise, but they hit way above their price point in terms of flavor delivery, construction, smoke output and complexity. Their marketing hype is a little hype-y, but ignore that and scoop up those delicious sticks for dirt frickin cheap. Their Habano Churchill in particular is a stellar smoke that I have enjoyed more than many much more expensive sticks. Also loved the Caribe torpedo. Layered elegance and complexity in both of those cigars. Both of their robusto sizes, the regular one and the Sunchaser, have some great flavors. Their 'club membership' model is a little confusing because you don't get anything other than a deep discount on prices that are already stupidly cheap, but it's optional and the whole amount goes to Cigars For Warriors as charity. I decided to keep my membership for that reason, I have family members deployed. You also get shareable discount codes in the club. There's a couple of popular online merchants who do bargain basement sales on mass market lines like Oliva and Rocky Patel. I occasionally get a pack so I have something to give away to friends who want to smoke a cigar but aren't going to notice much about how it tastes. Not a big fan of those brands, but if you want deep discount sticks they do pop up on the regular. I don't smoke those myself, but they are definitely bargain sticks. For CC's, I really like Flor de Rafael Gonzalez Panatelas Extras as a value cigar. Short filler but delish. Por Larranaga Montecarlos and Flor de Canos Elegidos are also 'cheap and cheerful'. Check those out if your local LCDH has them. 4
