Puros Y Vino Posted yesterday at 01:09 PM Posted yesterday at 01:09 PM JS has certainly tarnished his own name. But this video IMO excels at explaining the whole process. He nailed this. 1

Popular Post ha_banos Posted 18 hours ago Popular Post Posted 18 hours ago That video where's he's brushing plume off a Monte 2...all over his open humidor. Classic. Wish I'd saved it. 5 1 1

When writing/reviewing for Shankin's Wine Spectator magazine, he got caught receiving favours for his 90's wine ratings. IIRC, Shankin did a bit of a sting op on him. Got some vintners to prod him and he took the bait. 3
avaldes Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago I showed this video to my 18 year old son and he was impressed/ Cigar Aficionado and Wine Spectator are both influenced by advertisers. You have to take those ratings with a grain of salt and make up your own mind. My tastes tended to align more with Robert Parker, but even then it's not 100%. That said, this cigar video was very enjoyable. 2

Unrivalled, thinking of him whatever one may. Also Marvin Shanken. Obviously can’t do it without a certain amount of pomp and snobbery (perhaps needed for the biz?) and often coming across a tad too condescending for my personal liking, in particular lately. But his early interviews with people in the industry - still today great sources of historical information. Compare that with today’s standards. 2
