El Presidente Posted December 15, 2025 Posted December 15, 2025 The Diplomaticos Genios Regional Edition (5 1/2" by 52 ring gauge) came in at Number 8 on CA's top 25 for 2025. Read the full review HERE I just wanted to congratulate David Savona on his tasting notes for the cigar. "Light one up and you’re instantly rewarded with big flavor, starting with a bit of sweetness (caramel, peaches, autumn apples) complemented by the tannins of tea, cigar box and earth." I am sure one of our US members can educate me as to the significance of autumn when it comes to apples. I love learning things! 3
bmac Posted December 15, 2025 Posted December 15, 2025 Almost as confusing as a tasting note described as shortbread cookies. I get the apple and pear notes.
Popular Post ElLoboLoco Posted December 15, 2025 Popular Post Posted December 15, 2025 Autumn apples are when apples are harvested at their peak conditions. I think some varieties maybe ripen a little earlier depending where they are grown/climate variations. I live in the Southern US, the apples here ripen quicker and don’t benefit from ripening at cooler temperatures. I used to live in the North and apples are 1000 times better. They ripen under cooler temperatures. Moral here is...buy apples from a cooler climate.🤣 You should have made this a contest for some Sovereign Suns. 😉 5
Chibearsv Posted December 15, 2025 Posted December 15, 2025 Apple season around here is autumn. Closest apple thing I can think of related to a cigar flavor might be apple cider donuts with a dusting of cinnamon sugar. Best apples I've ever had are honeycrisps but I’ve never had a cigar taste like one of those. 😁 3
El Presidente Posted December 15, 2025 Author Posted December 15, 2025 Cheers for the clarification on Autumn apples 3
