Which LCDH would you guys say has the best selection, preferably in the Caribbean or South America. My goal is to buy 2/3 sticks of a bunch of different cigars so I can see what I like and don’t like, before I start buying full boxes. Have a little week vacation coming up with no set destination, so I figure if I could cross multiple goals off my bucket list, then why not.

I don't have extensive LCDH experience, but I have been to St Martin / Sint Maarten and there are 2 there (one on each side of the island). The selection was pretty good, between the two I found almost everything I had wanted to try. Carole (on the St Martin side) was absolutely lovely to shop with. I've heard Carole is responsive if you email in advance to ask for inventory and current prices. I don't have much to compare it to, but as a first timer who wanted to do the same as you before committing to more boxes on BR I considered it a success. This was all back in March, so not sure if anything's changed in the interim 6 months.

Thanks. I’ll look them up.

Cuba would be an obvious choice if you are including the Caribbean.

I’m in the US, so while Cuba would be great, too many hoops I’m not ready to jump through yet.

Grand Cayman had a very well stocked LCDH a couple of years ago. They also had a guy in store rolling cigars with local tobacco.

There were a couple of other highly rated shops in the area, all around the port. I only managed to visit one other but again it was very well stocked at a time most places were bare so I can imagine it’s even better now.

We were staying on the island so I couldn’t but if you arrived by cruise ship you could get all of the tax back as well from memory.

Thanks. I’ll take that into consideration cause the Caymans are actually one of the places me and the misses want to go.
