The name "Fancy Tales of Smoke" comes up a few times in Pre-Embargo catalogues. From this photo, I get the impression that the foot is closed, which makes for an interesting aging question: Does it slow aging? Was going to choose that one, till I remembered about the Visible Inmenso. 1 1

Popular Post JDoughty Posted October 27, 2025 Popular Post Posted October 27, 2025 I totally forgot I still had some of these in a box on the bottom shelf of the humidor. Also forgot what they taste like so I may have to burn one soon. Woe is me if they're delicious, I don't think I'm getting any more. Flor de A. Allones Dunhills, 1960. 6 1

I believe Dunhill moved to Gran Canaria in 1980 after they left Cuba and these were non Cuban tobacco produced from 1981 until they moved to the Dominican in the late 80's. Apparently one of the first sun grown wrapper cigars. The box below has the brand labelled as made in the Canary Islands. Yes! That's the exact box. Thank you! Where did you get the photo? Do you actually have the box? I gave all my boxes to Tony Hyman decades ago for him to digitize and put up in his virtual museum. I don't know if he considered that one noteworthy enough to put up, they were not particularly rare or high end cigars. Just tasty AF. I wish they were still made.
