El Presidente Posted October 5, 2025 Posted October 5, 2025 Who here owns a Bota? I mean a real one made out of Goat skin? Who here has used a Bota? I have had my ZZZ Pamplona bota for 30+ years and intend to introduce it into daily life come 2026. Di will be so proud. Just when my children didn't think dad could get any cookier.......he raises the stakes again Put one on your Christmas list but ensure it is a genuine offering 2
ElLoboLoco Posted October 5, 2025 Posted October 5, 2025 I got one for Christmas when I was like 8 one year with a Swiss Army knife. Tell me my parents weren’t bad assed. 🤣 2
Fuzz AI Posted October 6, 2025 Posted October 6, 2025 @El Presidente well, at least it is classier than when you used to just drink straight from the goon bag. 1
Chibearsv Posted October 6, 2025 Posted October 6, 2025 I was the Gallo red guy on the slopes with my crew. I preferred that vs schnapps that others carried. I picture you toting Negroni in yours 😁
JDoughty Posted October 6, 2025 Posted October 6, 2025 Back when I was younger, dumber and my hands actually worked worth a damn, I used to home tan the hides of anything I hunted or butchered on the farm. I did try making a waterskin once, though I don't recall if I used goat or deer. It was a sad failure. Tasted horrible and also leaked. I have a lot of respect for the skill that has to go into making a proper bota bag with primitive materials. I didn't think I was that bad at working hides, but I got humbled real quick when I tried this project. 2
