That first list is impossible to pick 10 from 🤪 They're practically all great (box dependent) and have boxes of almost everyone in the humidor. Jeeeez

Also price is a consideration too, I could have bought 4 (or 5) boxes of Monte 4 for what 1 box of Sir Winston cost. So that's another interesting point with hall of fame, should we be taking 'bang for buck' into account too? 🤔

Looks to me like people are picking the big boys as their top picks and I agree. To me nothing is as class as a Churchill or Double Corona if you can find the time for it. I would say Lonsdales aren't far behind. I need all of them. I think regular production I put Punch, Lusi and Winnie as my top 3.

Discontinued is a bit harder for me as I got out of the cigar game for a number of years. SLR DC tops my list as Punch Ninfa does as well. And 898. Any La Gloria Cubana. What a shame what happened to that marque.

Can we add Bolivar Belicosos Finos to the list? HoF in my book.

Not nominated unfortunately. If we can get a second to the idea, I will .;)

Unfortunately I only got into the game in 2013 ish, so didn't get a chance to enjoy 10 of the discontinued range. Miss Don Alejandros and SLR DCs though, big time. Plus LGC No 2. 😔

I wonder when LGC No 4 is going to be discontinued...it's gotta be soon.

See bigger is better??  Not for me. I prefer the smaller ring gauge. The skill to blend a roll a smaller ring gauge is going away I'm afraid, hidden underneath the myth that the market wants bigger sticks. Myth perpetrated (imo) by the rollers/sellers due to skills starting to wane for a variety of reasons.

Not to ruffle feathers at all, but 9/10 people I personally know prefer something probably 46-52 IMO. Some of my 'uber masculine' friends would say the smaller ring gauge stuff looks feminine and or reminiscent of a cigarette. This is verbatim the type of chattering I've heard.

I mean think about it, unless you're 'in the know', nobody would go to my humidor and choose a prime aged ~33rg PL Montecarlo, LGC Medaille or Cohiba Exquisito over a Partagas D4/HdM Epi 2, even if the latter 2 were 2025 boxes.

However, I do agree that a properly rolled smaller ring gauge with zero plugging is harder to do. Different skill set for sure. Isn't the general consensus though that most newer rollers start out on the most commonly sold stuff like Monte 4's? So around 40rg? I wonder for others Marcas if this holds true as well.

I second the BBFs. Probably my single most smoked cigar. Back in the mid 90s to the early 2000s, I was doing some entertainment work in LA and virtually every meeting took place in a cigar lounge and as a result I was smoking 3 or more cigars a day. Back then, in addition to the Grand Havana Room, there were a dozen other very nice cigar lounges around the city. There were also more fake Monte #2s and Cohibas than you could possibly count. On the west coast, however, Bolivar was relatively unknown and you could pick up a BBF for about half the price of a Monte  #2 and didn’t have to worry about that always awkward conversation where you have to tell a seller his cigars are fake.

Lol, I wish I had the breath and depth of experience to weigh in on something like this, so I’ll refrain from voting, but I am looking forward to seeing the results.🍻
