This morning You have to find ways to remind yourself life is good. The friends and family you have, the woman you love, the simple things.

1980's were a riot. If you had the good fortune to live through that period in your late teens/20's +...you will never forget it. Minimal government interference, minimal middle class welfare, freedom

Haha. I did preface it with 'not personal' Rob. Whilst I'm glad your loving life. And you are (and will always be) the perpetual Lemonade machine...I was trying to drill down to whether there was some tangible correlation for FOH'ers, if there was a critical point where everything seemed normal, and then a point with the internet and social media yadda yadda when it suddenly wasn't?

Like yourself, for me today was a good day, and I made it a good day, that wasn't really my zone of interest.

Ever since 2015 I've felt a certain inevitable decline, a worsening of public mood. a bit like a slow motion car crash. I was interested beyond their own orbit (family, friends), if people also felt that and if they could pinpoint a year.

2015 isn't a bad shout. Prior to Brexit, Trump, and all of the current f*****y that's going on in the World. I guess there was always instability, but never did I think it might creep into blighty and affect the safety and security of me and my family.

Not quite. They largely end however at the extent of my larger community. Self, family, friends, neighbours, colleagues, associates.  If everyone looks after that patch, sweet.

I know we have members who are stridently on one side of the political divide or the other. I don't suffer from that weight. I believe they are all largely busybody, interfering, power hungry, narcissitic, incompetent, duplicitous, scum.

If you wish to immerse yourself in the algorithmic social media slime then you will receive that intended dopomine hit as it it targets and magnifies your personal triggers. It's a sticky web.

Remove yourself from that world and the the sky may not be as blue as you would like, but it is not that hurricane that SM was talking about either.

You forgot lying, unskilled, dimwitted, unprofessional, treacherous, two-faced, self-obsessed, dishonest filth – the collective nouns for politicians of all sides should be human mudslide.

South Park

Funny story - when I was growing up, my parents lived within a series of duplexes that had a giant swamp behind them. My friend Mike and I used to go back there and catch frogs all the time. One day, he dared me to eat a cattail. I, of course, didn’t, until he triple dog dared me. I then did, and the resulting stuff in my mouth still brings back (funny to me now) memories. What an idiot. 🙂

Perhaps, however, it was my first foray into the future me enjoying mostly earthy, dirty, tasting cigars! 😆
