I keep my humidor below 65/65 and have never once had beetles.

Doesn't a hole in a Linea Maestra blow a hole in the theory that all Cubans are frozen before export? Be good to know if this example was bought in Cuba or elsewhere.

Glad to have never had the issue of beetles, I dread the day.

Some locales, keeping the interior temps at 70F is not realistic. If it's a low humidity region, 70F is freezing inside.

Ok so we need to watch out for Molds, Beetles & Wives. Anything else?

That's a good list: I'd add uninsured drivers, sandbagging bastards, and generally speaking: most mother-in-laws.

Is this what he is talking about? This stick is dry and taste awful although the rest of the cigars in the same box seem fine. Air leaks through the small hole near the shoulder.

These don't look like beetle holes to me, next time use some torcedor glue to fix it with wrapper bits from the cap and it should smoke just fine 👍

This is a beetle hole:

Those are just "scuffs". Don't worry about them.
