Popular Post El Presidente Posted August 24, 2025 Popular Post Posted August 24, 2025 I know Confucius kicks around 24 degrees Celsius (75°F) as the minimum temp but I would kick that down to 21 Celsius (70°F) at an absolute minimum. If you can't do that, then perhaps just freeze everything that comes anywhere near your humidor...and forget. 5
Duder Posted August 25, 2025 Posted August 25, 2025 I keep my humidor below 65/65 and have never once had beetles. 1
cnov Posted August 25, 2025 Posted August 25, 2025 Doesn't a hole in a Linea Maestra blow a hole in the theory that all Cubans are frozen before export? Be good to know if this example was bought in Cuba or elsewhere. Glad to have never had the issue of beetles, I dread the day. 3
BrightonCorgi Posted August 25, 2025 Posted August 25, 2025 Some locales, keeping the interior temps at 70F is not realistic. If it's a low humidity region, 70F is freezing inside. 3
Jmpeters09 Posted August 25, 2025 Posted August 25, 2025 Does the shop freeze product upon delivery? Do most people here freeze their cigars when they receive them?
Ayub Posted August 26, 2025 Posted August 26, 2025 Ok so we need to watch out for Molds, Beetles & Wives. Anything else? 3

Ayub Posted September 13, 2025 Posted September 13, 2025 Is this what he is talking about? This stick is dry and taste awful although the rest of the cigars in the same box seem fine. Air leaks through the small hole near the shoulder.

These don't look like beetle holes to me, next time use some torcedor glue to fix it with wrapper bits from the cap and it should smoke just fine 👍 This is a beetle hole: 2 1
