Cuban supply in H2

I hope everyone is enjoying the summer break. Just wanted to check what you are seeing in terms of supply. In the Middle East, even Beirut which normally is better than others, supply is bad. You can even find the basic Hoyo Epi 2/Especial or JL1/2. I was in Geneva, it is a bit better (not by much!) but of course prices are ridiculous and changing by the day. You can find Behike and the very high end that does not seem to be moving as fast.

Past 6 months supply has been very scarce in this part of the world.

Are you seeing the same thing where you are? Any insights on supply for the second half of the year?

Feels to me like H&F are getting plenty. I can find almost anything I want in London (eg in last two months, I’ve picked up Monte Esp1’s, Party 898’s and Sir Winnes - all as singles) and even in Dublin, I can buy singles of everything we’d regularly see of 24:24. 

The downside - you pay our prices of course.

UK/Switzerland/Asia appears to be fairly well stocked on the surface. No one is carrying a 2 month supply, let alone the once mandated 6. Many, many lines are paper thin deep (Double Corona's/Churchill/Dalia). The table looks full in those countries. The cupboard may tell a different story. 

Middle East/Spain/France/Baltics is another story. Something is going on but one can only assume there is a specific story to each (politics/regional dynamics/other).

I just picked up some Esplendidos from Dubai duty free. Also had RyJ Mille Fleurs and Monte 4s. Everything else was pretty much the special releases that no one touches (RyJ, Partagas, Monte).

Athens had some decent stock at the local shops, grabbed singles from several marcas. Bunch of Trinidads everywhere. Duty free had boxes of JL2, Monte 4, RyJ Mille Fleurs and a few others I can't remember.

I would say Geneva is better.

Given that a certain 3 letter agency just got a $165 Billion budget, I wouldn't count on customs getting better anytime soon. BR is an option for boxes already in the US. I've never had any issues bringing things back from cruises but its a whole new world now.
