Sounds like they're Padron 1964 Anniversaries tweaked to be in the round. Dave mentions that around 1:10:45s in this episode, unless I totally misunderstood.

I wonder how much that changes the blend?

I just ordered two of the maduro and two of the natural. $40 a piece seems like a bargain nowadays!  And I purchased them before the new, stupid 18% tariff on Nicaragua takes effect. Ha!

I have a couple boxes of the Family Reserve 96 Maduro and have smoked a few in past couple years. Those used to be the only non-box pressed offering. I can tell you the flavor is unmistakably Padron FR. Earthy, peppery, with dark chocolate, but It smokes with a very airy and loose draw. If I had to guess, they probably had to add tobacco to the blend to tighten it up.

Ordered 2 singles of each as well, have a Padron obsession that I can't NOT try it lol.

Has anyone tried the Hammer and a Dream? I got a box of Natural and a box of Maduro. So far only tried one of the Maduro, was pretty good classic Padron. Didn't rock my world as being significantly better than other high end Padrons, but I did find it to be one of the strongest cigars I've ever smoked. Its incredibly rare for nicotine to hit me like that one did.

Two Guys Smoke Shop Releases Padrón Ruby Red Exclusive Edition

Two Guys Smoke Shop has released a pair of exclusive cigars from Padrón to celebrate the New Hampshire-based retailer’s 40th anniversary in business.

The Padrón Ruby Red Exclusive Edition is a 5 3/4 x 56 vitola made with a blend of undisclosed tobaccos. As with most Padrón releases, it is offered in both Natural and Maduro wrappers. However, unlike the majority of Padrón cigars, both versions of the Ruby Red Exclusive Edition are round instead of box-pressed.

Both blends are packaged in individually-numbered boxes that were designed by Nelson Alfonso, the owner of the Selected Tobacco S.A. brand, who has worked on designs for some of Habanos S.A.’s most sought-after cigars, including the Cohiba BHK Behike, various Gran Reserva and other special packaging items like tubos and jars.

Only 200 individually numbered boxes, which the retailer describes as humidors, have been produced: 150 Padrón Ruby Red Maduro boxes and 50 Padrón Ruby Red Natural boxes. Each box contains 40 cigars and comes with an MSRP of $1,600, which works out to $40 per cigar.

The cigar’s name refers to the traditional gemstone gift for 40-year anniversaries, and each box is equipped with a ruby-inspired button encrusted on the front that releases the reverse magnetized lid when pressed.

Both versions of the Padrón Ruby Red Exclusive Edition were released today and are available at all three Two Guys Smoke Shop locations as well as on the retailer’s website.

Ordered a box of the Natural. Yeah they are $40, that stings, but I know Padron and I bet these will be great. Have ya seen some of the Fuente prices lately? Cuban prices? At least Padron have been very consistent to me overs the years. Construction and flavors. 🤷‍♂️
