This is a Robustos vitola from 1998, It comes in at a 50 ring gauge and is 4 7/8” in length.

The wrapper is super dark and oily.

A quick snap from my Palio and we are ready.

The draw is good. Nice airflow with no resistance.

Initial flavor's are earth, woody notes, cinnamon, and expresso.

Well it’s time to light this baby.

1st third I am hit with star anise & cocoa and Cinnamon.

2nd third star anise & cocoa are still there but I am getting roasted nuts now.

This one will be a shocker. It’s a 1998 Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No.2 from a (50 Cab). This was one of the darkest wrappers I have ever had a on a Epi 2. The cab was dark when I got it but over the many years it got even darker!
