In the midst of Budapest’s diplomatic quarter, the Budapest Cigar Lounge (BCL) is a haven for passionados. Opened at the end of 2024, it offers a sophisticated, intimate environment where guests can indulge in cigar smoking – a luxury in a city that has strict smoking regulations.

The only private lounge in Budapest where smoking cigars indoors is permitted, BCL blends old-world charm with modern luxury. The founders, Péter Kisvári and András Eperjesi, are lifelong friends and cigar enthusiasts who have been cultivating a refined cigar experience in Hungary’s evolving cigar culture for almost a decade.

BCL offers a well-curated selection of premium cigars, and is also home to the First Hungarian Cigar Club, established in 2002. Hosting weekly events, it fosters a vibrant community of both connoisseurs and newcomers.

BCL also offers three packages tailored to cater to their guest’s preferences. The Churchill Package: a full-day immersion, which includes a hand-selected Cuban cigar, three drinks – Cuban rum or cocktails, and unlimited coffee and soft drinks; the Robusto Package, a three-hour session, featuring a premium Cuban cigar, a glass of Cuban rum or a cocktail, and a selection of coffee and soft drinks; and the Corona Package, a two-hour visit where guests can enjoy their own cigars with complimentary coffee and soft drinks.

BCL also hosts private events, business meetings, and workshops. Advanced booking is required for all visits.
